Time doesn’t speed up because the clock changes. It speeds up because we finally start paying attention. Queen gets real about how “I’ll do it later” turns into years gone by, and why your time deserves more respect than your habits and distractions have been giving it.
We talk about the way youth can trick us into thinking we have forever, then contrast that with the gut level proof that life moves fast, especially when you watch children grow. From newborn moments to a first birthday that feels like it arrived overnight, the episode leans into memory, presence, and the weight that relationships can carry as we mature. There’s also a fun but honest look at old photos and old styles, the kind of throwback that makes you laugh and then think, because change is the whole point.
Queen also brings in a purpose driven lens, including faith and the idea of “due time,” then lands the message where it matters most: you don’t have time for nonsense. If something drains your peace, wastes your attention, or keeps you stuck, it’s costing you the only resource you can’t replace. You’ll leave with a simple challenge you can start today: take initiative for meaningful time for yourself every day, whether that’s rest, joy, reflection, or doing something bold that brings you back to life.

Welcome to a Queen's Opinion. My name is Queen. Now let's get into this episode.
This episode, we are talking about time. Is your time important? Time, time, time. Time moves so fast. I don't think we realize it or realize how fast it is moving when we are young. When we are young, we think we have plenty of time. I can do that in five years. I can do that next year. I can do that later. I'm going to put it on my bucket list. Time. Time moves too fast. You don't understand how valuable time is until you are older. What I mean by older, not just by the number of years or age that you have lived, but older as also in being mature. I think there's an old saying, at least in my community, where a child or young person may be told that they have an old spirit. I know that can mean a lot of things depending on the situation. But in regards to time, an old spirit means you understand things beyond your young age. Many of us understand time moves fast. The clock is moving very swiftly. And because the clock is moving swiftly, we try to line things up in our lives faster, quicker. Instead of creating the bucket list, people who understand the importance of time try to get everything on the bucket list finished or achieved as fast as they can in life. Time for some people seems to move slowly and they are okay with the speed things are taking place in their life. Time is moving just fine for those folks. They don't hurry or rush to do anything. They feel like I have plenty of time.
For people who have children, as our children grow older each day, each year, time is reflected in our face. Those of us with children in our lives see time moving so fast. We just had a grandbaby, for example. The grandbaby was born into our family, and the first year of his life seems like a snap of a finger. He has turned one year old. He is now walking and trying to formulate words and expressions on his face. He definitely lets you know if he's not happy about certain things that is happening to him. Time. Where did the year go? It just seems like I just brought my daughter home from the hospital from having the baby. We both said it's been a year. O M and a G. Oh, it's been a year. This may not sound like anything out of the ordinary, but when we start looking at the pictures that we took from the day he was brought home from the hospital, the day he was brought into this world until his first birthday on earth, how time seems to pass very fast. It was moving so fast at that present moment that when we took the pictures and looked at them a year later, we say, when did that happen? But it did. It happened. We took pictures to show and prove how time moves quickly and feels like a blink of an eye.
I look at pictures from years ago and I see myself and I go, Whoa, what was I thinking with that hairdo? You know, we had some hairdo's, honey. Yes, we did. We thought that hairdo was awesome. We thought that hairdo was the shit. We thought that hairdo made us look, hey, you know, look good. But now, oh gosh, what we realize is that hairdo was a hot mess. And we probably should have never had that hairdo on our head. No, we shouldn't have done that to ourselves. That hairdo now in the present looks crazy. It looks out of place because time has passed us by and the styles have changed.
As we get older, the things that you do become more precious. Moments spent with people, places we went, and things we have done become more precious. Feel for the people in our lives begin to feel heavier. Time with them seems shorter. Our feelings in time may feel like air that you breathe. Like I need to be with this person, I need to see this person, I need to feel this person because they're important to you and you don't want time to pass by that you don't remember them. I'm here to tell you that time, time, time is, ooh, it's a mother. Shut your mouth. You know what the rest of that is. Why do I
say that? Well, I say that because everything happens in due time. Time was always a part of the big picture of life. Christians believe God created the world in seven days. We believe He created everything in your life and everything has a purpose, which is why I believe everything has a purpose and time on this earth. When we have met our purpose requirements on this earth, we shall leave the same way in due time.
I just want to tell you that time is short, time is valuable. And so people you spend time with is critical because they are taking up space in your life. Believe it or not, you don't have that much time. So you don't have time for nonsense. You don't have time trying to figure out the nonsense. Nonsense is not where our valuable time should be spent. We should be spending time on things that bring value to our lives. I pray my podcast brings value to your everyday life. I appreciate the valuable time spent with me listening to this episode in your car, running or walking, or just overall taking a mental break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thank you.
Thank you. There is nothing wrong with taking a break and doing something fun, crazy in your life. Take the time. Take it. Initiative. Meaningful time for yourself. E every day. Time. Take initiative. Meaningful time for yourself every day. Time. The Queen appreciates your valuable time.
